84-Year-Old Man Struck, Killed Walking Home From Easton Restaurant: Police

An 84-year-old was struck and killed by a car while crossing the street in front of a restaurant in South Massachusetts this week, authorities said.

Michael Ginsberg was crossing Foundry Street near La Familia restaurant in Easton when he was hit by a car around 6:45 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26, Easton Police report.

Ginsberg, who was found lying in the street, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton where he died from his injuries the next day. Investigation suggests Ginsberg was coming home from the restaurant when he was struck, police added. 

The driver of the vehicle that hit the Easton resident stayed on scene and was cooperative with investigators. No charges have been filed at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
